New Authors And Books I’m Looking Forward To Reading In 2017


For the past few months I’ve been scouring the internet for books by authors I haven’t read from before (new for me, not new in general). I was looking for stories whose premises seemed interesting and would stand out among all the other books I’ve read so far. Much to my joy, I found several that are all the first in a series – couldn’t find any stand-alones. I’m really excited to see what adventures await me within these new worlds.

  • Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes (Falling Kingdoms)
  • Fate of Flames by Sarah Raughley (Effigies)
  • Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard (Red Queen)
  • Some Girls Bite by Chloe Neill (Chicagoland Vampires)
  • Truthwitch by Susan Dennard (Witchlands)
  • Zodiac by Romina Russell (Zodiac)

As much as I’m looking forward to starting these series, I’m even more excited to continue reading the following series:

  • Dawn Study by Maria V. Snyder (Study, book 6)
  • Dead Heat by Patricia Briggs (Alpha and Omega, book 4)
  • Dreamer’s Daughter by Lynn Kurland (A Novel of the Nine Kingdoms, book 9)
  • Shadowstorm by Dianne Sylvan (Shadow World, book 6)
  • The Battle of Hackham Heath by John Flanagan (Ranger’s Apprentice: The Early Years, book 2)
  • The Hunters by John Flanagan (Brotherband Chronicles, book 3)
