Bookshelf Spotlight: Top 5 Most Gorgeous Book Covers

For today’s post I wanted to talk about something different than the usual gushing about stories. Instead, I’d like to talk about the artwork that covers every story we read.

Book covers are one of my favorite parts of being a reader. I enjoy looking at them, admiring the artistry that went into making them. Even the simplest of designs have a certain beauty to them. And if I had the talent, I’d definitely want to be a part of the department of a publishing company whose job is to design book covers.

So today, I’d like to highlight the top 5 most gorgeous book covers I’ve ever had the pleasure of coming across and reading (in no particular order)(all information is to the best of my knowledge):

All of these books/series I highly recommend, each one a thrilling story after the next. Although it didn’t make it into the top 5, I’d also recommend checking out the international covers for John Flanagan’s and Maria V. Snyder’s books; they are simply lovely.

What are some of your favorite book covers? Let me know in the comments below.

As always, happy reading!
