Quote of the Day: Synopsis Writing

Very important advice to always keep in mind. This helps organize the story and put it into perspective. The synopsis is what attracts the reader’s attention and “sells” the book. If a book’s synopsis doesn’t make sense nor interest me – especially since the consumer gets the bare minimum of it- then I won’t read it. A synopsis is a persuasive piece of writing that seems to me like a good thing to practice – especially if you want to be published someday. Maria V. Snyder, one of my favorite authors, provides an extended 101 run-down in her article “Writing a Synopsis.”
