My Review:
Kitten’s First Full Moon is an adorable tale that I really enjoyed reading. The kitten’s attempts to get the “bowl of milk” was just so precious and cute. I think children will find this story entertaining to look at and hear. The illustrations are in black and white instead of the usual bursts of color. That may sound dreary but it actually works for the story as it takes place at night when everything is devoid of color except for the light of the moon. The illustrations are vibrant in their own right despite the lack of color. Henkes is truly talented writer and illustrator or children’s fiction.
