Summer is in full swing. The sun shining. The days are long. And it’s time for people to start heading to the beach in droves. The beach is such a fun, relaxing place to be. It’s especially so if you have a book or two in hand – because books make everything better. So today I thought I’d list some recommendations of books you can bring along with you to the beach.

Dragon Slippers by Jessica Day George (Dragon Slippers, book 1)

Graceling by Kristin Cashore (Seven Kingdoms Trilogy, book 1)

Midnight Pearls by Debbie Viguié

Nobody’s Princess by Esther Friesner (Princesses of Myth, book 1)

Once and for All by Sarah Dessen

Paintbrush by Hannah Bucchin

Prophecy Awakened by Tamar Sloan (Prime Prophecy Series, book 1)

Sandry’s Book by Tamora Pierce (Circle of Magic, book 1)

  1. I second Once and For All. If I hadn’t just finished it, I would take it with me to the beach!
