Summary (via Goodreads):
How do you kill a god?

As her father’s chosen heir, eighteen-year-old Rasmira has trained her whole life to become a warrior and lead her village. But when her coming-of-age trial is sabotaged and she fails the test, her father banishes her to the monster-filled wilderness with an impossible quest: To win back her honor, she must kill the oppressive god who claims tribute from the villages each year—or die trying.

My Review:
Warrior of the Wild was the most epic adventure I have ever been on in a long time. This story was everything.

Tricia Levenseller is a talented writer and storyteller, a craftswoman with a wild imagination. I felt all the feels: surprise, anxiety, sadness, wonder, laughter, joy and then some. Completely enthralled. Levenseller expertly ended the last line of each chapter with such finality and power. Masterful writing with a lot of impact.

Rasmira Bendrauggo (epic and heroic name, by the way) is the YA warrior woman we all love to read about. She is strong and fearless but with her own insecurities and faults. I loved watching her growth during her time in the wild. She is a natural born leader who I would follow any day.

Soren and Iric were lovely as well. They provided the comedic humor needed, I would say, for both themselves, Rasmira, and the reader to begin healing after the horrid sabotage/betrayal in the beginning. We all came out better versions of ourselves after our time in the wild.

I love this book so much and am eager to read more by this author. Warrior of the Wild is a must-read, coming-of-age story with an original plot, lovable characters, and feelings you didn’t know were possible to have.
