Summary (via Goodreads):
Tessa McCaide has had it up to here with supernaturals. Luciana may have failed to steal Tessa’s magic, but she’s just getting started on her crusade for magical domination. If her demonic summoning isn’t stopped, it could mean the end of everything.

Tessa’s allies, including her mate Dastien, are ready to fight, but they’re no match for Luciana’s power. A little help (and ancient Inca mojo) from Tessa’s cousin, Claudia, may give the side of good a chance if she can make it home in time, but stopping the war is no longer an option.

When witches and wolves fight, no one wins. Only time will tell who will still be standing after the last spell is cast.

My Review:
The time as come for the final battle. I’ve been anticipating this conclusion, wondering anxiously what would happen and who would be left standing in the end.

Book 5 did not disappoint!

I felt tense all throughout because so many major problems kept popping up for Tessa and company. With each new concern it seemed even more impossible to defeat Luciana.

I love how Aileen Erin crafted Luciana as the antagonist. She present a dynamic threat while embodying a binary that makes her the ultimate tragic villain. She is flawed but well-intended but a threat that needs to be dealt with.

Tessa, I think, will always have a place in my heart. She was just an ordinary girl but within the span of a few months she has had to figuratively climb a mountain without any clear idea how. The world of supernaturals was not what she was born into. But she nobly – despite the heartache, stress, and tears but with a bit of spunk – steps up to defend her new family and friends from both human and supernatural danger.

I just really loved Tessa and Dastian’s story as a whole. It’s riveting in its writing, character development, plot, and world-building. I’m so glad I found this series and can’t wait to continue on.
