Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme originally created by The Broke and the Bookish, but is now run by That Artsy Reader Girl.
Happy Tuesday, Bookworms! And Happy Mardi Gras to those who celebrate it!
Today’s prompt is: Purple, Gold, and/or Green Book Covers.
Mardi Gras is a widely celebrated carnival that dates back to the Middle Ages. This festive holiday is known by several names, such as Carnival, Fat Tuesday, or Shrove Tuesday. It occurs the day before Ash Wednesday, the onset of Lent. It is a huge celebration with parties, parades, food (like king cakes), strings of beads, and masquerade balls, especially in places like New Orleans, Louisiana (US). The official colors of Mardi Gras are purple for justice, gold for power, and green for faith. I chose my some of my favorite, highly recommended books for each color.
PURPLE/JUSTICE: Celestial, Darkest Mercy, Storm Glass

GOLD/POWER: Feather, Trickster’s Queen, The Awakening, Take A Hint, Dani Brown

GREEN/FAITH: The Green and the Gray, A Wish Upon the Stars, Sorcery of Thorns

I like the variety of books you selected.
It’s been such a long time since I read Trickster’s Queen. I’ve been trying to reread the Tortall books, but kind of went off track last year.

Thank you! I totally get that. I’ve been meaning to do some rereads of her books for a while but just haven’t found the time.
