Organizing Your Shelves: What’s your method?

Post image: Organizing Your Shelves: What's your method?

Happy Sunday!

How do you organize your shelves?

It’s time for a change.

Normally, I rearrange my shelves a few times a year with little shifts here and there. But with all the new books I recently got, another rearrangement feels necessary. This time though I want to do something completely different from the norm.

When I was a newbie, starry-eyed book lover, I did tallest to smallest for many years. Then, I switched it to by favorites by author for one shelf, manga for another, and some complicated order that satisfied my ocd for the rest.

That went on for many years as well, but now I want to do something new. With 2022 practically right around the corner now seems like as good a time as any. I just don’t know where to start.

I would like to have one shelf (I have 3) dedicated to my favorites. The manga shelf will stay the same as will having new, unread books on top of the shelves.

So it’s time for a change. How do you like to organize your books?

As Always, Happy Reading!!!

Oh that’s a good way! And yeah, I’ve wanted to try rainbow shelves too on a larger scale. I briefly tried with unread priority reads.

That all must be so beautiful and satisfying to look at! 😍 I think I might try rainbow for a certain group of books; maybe my unread ones.

That’s a good system! All my children’s fiction are grouped together too because I don’t own that many. I’d like to have a dedicated children’s shelf someday.
