#SixForSunday: Books With Green Covers

Six for Sunday
Six for Sunday is a weekly blog post by Steph @ A Little But A Lot where you share 6 books that to share to go with that Sunday’s prompt. To learn more, click here.

The Six for Sunday them for March is Springing Into Life!. Today’s prompt showcases books with lovely green covers.

I like this prompt because it reminds me of the green grass, abundantly leafy trees, and pretty flowers that come with spring. While spring not be my favorite season, I love the beauty of nature during that time.

The books I chose for this prompt that give me so much bookish life are:

Truly Tyler by Terri Libenson

Lord Sunday by Garth Nix

Servant of the Crown by Duncan M. Hamilton

At Summer’s End by Courtney Ellis

Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson

The Sharpest Blade by Sandy Williams

What is your favorite green-covered book that gives you spring vibes?

Six for Sunday: Red and Green Books

My logo for Six for Sunday weekly blog post.
Six for Sunday is a weekly blog post by Steph @ A Little But A Lot where you share 6 books that to share to go with that Sunday’s prompt. To learn more, click here.

Happy Sunday!

‘Tis the season to swoon over beautiful RED and GREEN book covers, which is the topic of today’s Six for Sunday. I love doing any kind of prompt where the theme is a color. This Sunday, I’m sharing covers that I love from six of my favorite books ever.

First up is The Blacksmith Queen by G.A. Aiken (hilarious and utterly captivating!) and Mastiff by Tamora Pierce (so many feels! and those plot twists!).

Next, I had to include Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson (magical library with talk grimoires? yes, please!) and Fire by Maria V. Snyder (that ending, wow!).

And, finally, Blade of Fire by Stuart Hill (epic, magical goodness!) and A Wish Upon the Stars by TJ Klune (excuse me while I ugly cry in a glass case of emotions!).

If you like these Six for Sunday posts and want to join in on the fun, check out the rest of December’s prompts.

What color books do you wish you owned more of?

Outfits On Book Covers I Want In My Closet

Happy Thursday, Bookworms!

What are some book covers with outfits on them you wish you had in your closet?

There are a lot of covers I like on which characters are really cool and beautiful clothes. Some of which I wish I had in my closet right now.

I have a very simple style of clothing I wear day to day. If I could, I’d wear a plaid button top and black leggings all the time – it’s my go-to cozy outfit of choice. I’m not much of a dress person, but you will see some below because they are just so pretty to look at.

Having a wardrobe with these outfits would be amazing, especially for cosplay!

Top Ten Tuesday: Colorful Book Covers

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme originally created by The Broke and the Bookish, but is now run by That Artsy Reader Girl.

Happy Tuesday, Bookworms!

Today’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt is a real good one: Colorful Book Covers!

The first thing that ever attracts me to a cover are the colors used. I love colorful book art, especially color combos like red/black, black/gold, blue/green, and blue/silver. I also love a plethora of shades of a single color being used.

My Top 10 favorite colorful book covers are:

Legendborn by Tracy Deonn, The Blacksmith Queen by G.A. Aiken, The Awakening by Nora Roberts

Lioness Rampant by Tamora Pierce, The Queen’s Resistance by Rebecca Ross, Zodiac by Romina Russell

Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr, Paintbrush by Hannah Bucchin, , Yona of the Dawn (Vol. 14) by Mizuho Kusanagi, Snow White with the Red Hair (Vol. 12) by Sorata Akiduki

Honorable Mentions (because I can’t help myself 😄): The Lightning-Struck Heart by TJ Klune, Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson, Skyhunter by Marie Lu, Bloodsworn by Scott Reintgen, Darkest Mercy by Melissa Marr, and Once and for All by Sarah Dessan

Illustrated Covers I Adore 💙

Happy Thursday, Bookworms!

What are some of your favorite illustrated book covers?

Illustrated covers are always so cute and a million times better than anything I could ever draw. I love the array of light colors for some, the simplicity for others, the use of pastels, and the intricate details.

Below are some of my favorite illustrated covers:

Top Ten Tuesday: Purple, Gold, and/or Green Book Covers (Happy Mardi Gras!)

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme originally created by The Broke and the Bookish, but is now run by That Artsy Reader Girl.

Happy Tuesday, Bookworms! And Happy Mardi Gras to those who celebrate it!

Today’s prompt is: Purple, Gold, and/or Green Book Covers.

Mardi Gras is a widely celebrated carnival that dates back to the Middle Ages. This festive holiday is known by several names, such as Carnival, Fat Tuesday, or Shrove Tuesday. It occurs the day before Ash Wednesday, the onset of Lent. It is a huge celebration with parties, parades, food (like king cakes), strings of beads, and masquerade balls, especially in places like New Orleans, Louisiana (US). To learn more about Mardi Gras click here.

The official colors of Mardi Gras are purple for justice, gold for power, and green for faith. I chose my some of my favorite, highly recommended books for each color.

PURPLE/JUSTICE: Celestial, Darkest Mercy, Storm Glass

GOLD/POWER: Feather, Trickster’s Queen, The Awakening, Take A Hint, Dani Brown

GREEN/FAITH: The Green and the Gray, A Wish Upon the Stars, Sorcery of Thorns
