Which 2021 releases were you so excited to read but still haven’t gotten to yet?

Last year I read more new releases than any other year of blogging about books. And with a constantly changing mood-based tbr, it’s not surprising that there were an ample amount that I didn’t get to even though I was eager to read.

My Top 10 includes:

9. The Ex Talk by Rachel Lynn Solomon

10. The Alpha Protocol by Duncan M. Hamilton

I’m trying to rectify this bookish travesty and have some of these on my current Winter TBR, which is basically made up of books I didn’t get to last year. I am determined to see this through, especially since I own much of these titles.

November 2020 New Book Releases

~ November 3 ~

THE ROYAL TUTOR is a delightful read. The princes are really coming into their own but there is still much to learn. I have volume 14 on my wish list, so hope to read this in January 2021. The cover for this volume is super cute!

SNOW WHITE WITH THE RED HAIR makes my heart so happy. More adventures await in this 10th volume. And just look how dashing Zen looks on the cover! I can’t wait to read continue this manga!

A CUBAN GIRL’S GUIDE TO TEA AND TOMORROW sounds like a really good read. I hope to get to reading this book next year.

 

~ November 16 ~

I am looking forward to reading DARK ALPHA’S CARESS! I love this series and the covers for each book. Reapers series is a must read if you love paranormal romances.

 

~ November 17 ~

THE BRIGHT AND BREAKING SEA was a great seafaring adventure. I loved all the characters, the world-building, and slow-burn romance. Some situations resolved too easily or had underwhelming results, but I still enjoyed reading the book. [arc review]

I have never read a Nora Roberts books. I’ve been meaning to try one of her books for years – now is the time! THE AWAKENING sounds super appealing and the cover is so pretty. This will definitely be a priority read in 2021.

THE PRINCESS KNIGHT was a good read with interesting new characters. Gemma and Quinn’s relationship is hilarious. The ending made me eager for the next book. Also, I am in love with this cover. [arc review]

I Bought More Books! Yay!

Happy Thursday, Bookworms!!!!

Even though I wasn’t supposed to for a long while I ended up buying more books. I couldn’t help it. The covers are so beautiful and the story sounds interesting. I was hooked before I even started reading.

From a Scholastic Book Fair I got Stepsister by Jennifer Donnelly and Nat Enough by Maria Scrivan. From Amazon, I order Ashlords by Scott Reintgen, which was my number buy for 2020.

 

I also want to share a book I recently won in a Goodreads Giveaway. I won an ARC of Wicked As You Wish by Rin Chupeco from Sourcebooks Fire.

This is special to me because it’s the first time I’ve won a giveaway on Goodreads AND it’s the first physical ARC I’ve gotten.

I’m still on a book buying ban! But these small treasures were worth it. All of these books will be on my April TBR.

Today, I am waiting on Your Lion Eyes by Christine Warren (Alphaville #2). I have been waiting for book 2 to be released for years because I loved the first book, Baby, I’m Howling For You, so much. But the date just kept getting pushed back. Your Lion Eyes is expected to be published December 25, 2020.

I’m 75% sure I want to keep this book but I’m also unsure if, all all this time, that I won’t enjoy it as much I thought I would all those years ago. I’ll reevaluate this book next time I do this meme.

 

 

River of Dreams by Lynn Kurland

The series just isn’t the same anymore. Possibly around book 5 or 6 was when I started slowly losing interest. I love Lynn Kurlands books but I think I’m okay with not finishing this series. I would go back in read the first three books though – I really loved them.

I don’t think I want to continue this trilogy. Not because book 1 was bad – book 1 was really good. I just don’t think I can bring myself to finish. It’s too much.

I need to finish this series because it’s so good. I have this book on my next book haul I’m doing. I’m positive it’s going to be a good read and need to stop putting off reading it.
