Thank goodness, another Friday is here!

Do you have any bookish plans this weekend?

Thank goodness it’s Friday and I have no work because I am tired. My current read has been slow going, but with a three day weekend ahead of me I’ll be able to make more progress.

One good thing that’s happened today is that I received an e-arc for Sophie Sullivan’s latest book, A Guide to Being Just Friends (Jan 17, 2023). This one is a different female MC and different Jansen brother as MC. I’ve enjoyed all of her books so far. They’re very sweet contemporary romances.

There were two other reviews I meant to post this week but I got a little off track, so hopefully I’ll be all caught up by the end of next week.

Also next Tuesday is the first day of summer! Can you believe it’s nearly here? I already know which books I’m going to read first, House of Beating Wings by Olivia Wildenstein and Wild Sign by Patricia Briggs. I can’t wait to share with you all what books I plan to read this summer.

Happy Friday!

I have a four-day weekend ahead of me and I plan to use it to the fullest. Feels good to have a little time off work to read, relax, and do something fun.

First order of business is finishing my current read today or tomorrow. I’m halfway through Bet on It by Jodie Slaughter and absolutely loving it! The main characters just took a major step in their relationship, so things are getting more serious.

Then the rest of the weekend is taking care of some business, writing a review, and starting a new book.

I previously had an idea of what I wanted to read next, but I’m kind of in the mood for something light and fluffy. Thinking about maybe taking a break from my winter tbr to read a few manga volumes. But I do have one more arc I need to finish this month. So maybe yes, maybe no, who knows. I’ll be starting a new book regardless and (hopefully) make decent headway before going back to work.
